The Calgary Stampede — happening July 3–12, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada — is a 10-day celebration of western heritage and big-city festival fun with something for everyone. You can witness the thrilling World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo every afternoon, where top cowboys and cowgirls compete in events like bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling. As evening falls, the Evening Show delivers high-octane chuckwagon races, relay races and a spectacular grandstand performance capped with fireworks under the Prairie sky. The festival also features a vibrant Midway with rides, games, and iconic fair foods — from mini-donuts to adventurous deep-fried treats — plus live music stages, cultural performances, and family-friendly zones with animal exhibits and activities. Don’t miss downtown Calgary’s Stampede parade with floats, bands and horses, or the many free pancake breakfasts across the city that kick off each day in true Stampede spirit. It’s a unique mix of adrenaline, food, culture and entertainment that makes the Stampede a must-experience summer event.

Calgary is located within the Treaty 7 territory, a region in Southern Alberta, as defined in the 1877 treaty. We would like to take this opportunity to appreciate and acknowledge that we are on the ancestral and traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy, made up of the Siksika, Piikani, Amskaapipiikani and Kainai First Nations; the Îethka Nakoda Wîcastabi First Nations, comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6).
